About us

The team behind

Event Squad

We're a small team of event planners and producers who believe great events come from obsessive attention to detail and calm, confident execution.

Our story

Guests of honour in full Nigerian dress photographed together in front of the main stage at an outdoor reception

Effortless, by design

A steady hand, twice over

Event Squad started with a simple idea: events should feel effortless for the people hosting them. From corporate conferences to intimate weddings, we bring structure, taste, and a steady hand to every project we take on.

Today we work with businesses and individuals across Lagos and Ondo who want an event partner they can trust from the first phone call to the final guest walking out the door.

What we value

Detail-obsessed

Every timeline, vendor, and moment is planned down to the minute.

Calm under pressure

We handle the chaos so you can enjoy the event you're hosting.

Design-led

Every event we produce is styled to feel intentional, not generic.

Leadership

T. Akinbohun

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

“The host should be the most relaxed person in the room. Everything we do is working backwards from that.”

T. Akinbohun founded Event Squad in 2013 and still leads design review on every large production. Twelve years and two cities later, the brief has not changed.

Milestones

  1. 2013

    Event Squad opens in Lagos

One planner, a borrowed office on CMD Road, and a first wedding of ninety guests.

  2. 2017

    First 500-guest corporate summit

The production side of the business is born, and with it the run-sheet discipline we still use.

  3. 2021

    Ondo City office opens

A second base on Temidayo Street, so events outside Lagos stop being a logistics problem.

  4. 2025

    480 events delivered

Two cities, one standard, and a referral rate we are quietly proud of.

How we differ

01

We quote what it costs

The number in the proposal is the number on the invoice. If something changes, you hear it from us first, not from the vendor.

02

We say no to the wrong brief

If your date, budget and guest list do not agree with each other, we will tell you on the first call rather than take the booking.

03

We staff for the worst version of the day

Rain, traffic, a late supplier. The plan already has an answer, which is why event day looks uneventful from where you are standing.
